[IMMIGRATION] LIBERTÉ (FRANCE 2009) ~ GIPSY KINGS, TRISTA PENA (SPAIN 1989)
We know It’s complicated, but we must be sensitive to the phenomenon of immigration, hundreds or thousands of people emigrate daily, not for personal reasons, but driven by a few oligarchs, warlords, who like a monopoly board, gamble with the fate of entire communities, those are the ones who must be sought and confronted.
There must be other ways of dealing with immigration and it is not by confronting the immigrants, who like frightened deer do not know what they can do to protect their loved ones.
Korkoro (Liberté) 2009, is the story of a family of Gypsy immigrants from Hungary during the Second World War, accustomed to emigration as their way of life, trade and commerce and make music and songs. Trapped by the war they still do not understand how their way of life and their freedoms are taken away from them.
