Alberto Cortez – Castles in the Air (1980) – Fan Video
The video includes clips from the film “Mr. Jones” with Richard Geere (1993) IMDB, where After being arrested during a manic episode, a man who suffers from bipolar disorder is treated by a psychiatrist who begins to develop romantic feelings towards him.
Wanting to fit into a ‘dystopian’ society generates mental ties, blockages that allow us to be social subjects, but which also generate restrictions to our own identity, cloister us to a river of rules and a tide of social rubbish, which keeps us subject to and prisoners of rules that third parties or institutions use for their own benefit.
We must accept our own natural identity, embrace plurality, human beings are identified by their vast diversity, being authentic allows us to bring out the best in ourselves and allows us to express what we bring from our own spirit to share with humanity.
While it is known also that there are mental ‘disorders’ that are treated with medication, it is also known that there is no medication that ultimate cures the human brain, which must be controlled by the people themselves, proper treatment and guidance can make these ‘unfit’ people to living in a world they were not created for, the same effect applies in asperger’s syndromes and attention deficit disorders, where it has been shown that medication can significantly affect the progress of socialisation and can eventually cause brain damage and secondary disorders.
Maybe it is just a matter of different mental ‘configurations’ and different ways of seeing the world and by forcing the other person to be ‘adequate’, you destroy their unique condition and try to force a Lego piece into a slot it was not made for.
We live in a disturbed society, no one should tell you that you are ‘Crazy‘, Mental Health is internal and of the individual and is accompanied by our own level of accepting our environment, adapting and finding our reason in life and ultimately Happiness, if others do not know how to be Happy they will not know how to guide you in the search for Happiness.

Lyrics in English:
Castles in the Air
“He wanted to fly like the seagulls do
Free in the air, by the free air
And the others said: Poor fool!
He doesn’t know that flying is impossible!
But he spread his wings towards the sky
And little by little, he gained height
And the other ones, they stayed on the ground
Keeping its sanity
And he built, Castles in the Air
In the sunshine, with clouds of cotton wool
Within a place, where no one could ever
…could never reach by using Reason
And he built Fabulous Windows
Filled with Light, Magic and Colour
And summoned the elf of things…
that has a lot to do with Love
And the other ones, seeing him so blissful
Alarm was raised, rules were laid down
Lest it be contagious
Trying to be happy in such a way
The conclusion is clear and forceful
He was condemned for his folly
To live with the people again
Dressed in sanity
For building Castles in the Air
In the sunshine, with Cotton Clouds
In a place, where no one could ever…
could never reach by using Reason!
And for opening Fabulous Windows…
Filled with Light, Magic and Colour
And summoning the Elf of things…
…that have a lot to do with Love!
Here it ends the Story of the Idiot…
Who through the Air, like the Free Air…
He wanted to fly like the Seagulls do
But that’s impossible, isn’t it?”
