Did Bear McCreary rip off Amazon‘s blockbuster LOTR/TROP by selling them a musical rehash?
The songs of Outlander and The Rings of Power in the Harfoots part, use a melody that is not only very similar but identical in structure, length and musical composition, the frequencies are so similar, that even to uneducated ears can find the similarity.
Are we seeing Amazon and Jeff Bezos’ blockbuster using re-fried music, intentionally, because they ran out of budget or because they got ripped off? As they have shown us in their ‘successful production’ I dare to think they didn’t know what to do, they just picked from McCreary’s repertoire and said “this one”, adapt it for harfoots.
The video makes a mix of the sounds of both tunes which, for those who know them, can tell when one starts and the other ends, including video and visual mashup.
